Funky Country was set up by me, Nicky Eyles after having my daughter, previously having had a career in Marketing. Loving all things gorgeous and all things smelly I scoured the country for beautiful, hand poured candles and so began Funky Country in May 2010.

I am based at home at Well Farm in North Yorkshire ably assisted by my husband (sometimes) , daughter (in the school holidays), Rhubarb and Crumble the lazy labs (rarely) and an ever growing assortment of ponies.

As Funky Country was born and bred in rural North Yorkshire, the countryside is very important to everything we do. Not only is it an inspiring place to be able to work (and play) but the country life gives us the chance to connect with nature. It is what makes us tick and runs through every decision made at Funky Country from developing our range of products, the hours we work (around dogs and ponies)  where we sell our products,  who we buy from and sell to. Even our name!
